I love fall. It’s easily my favorite season of the year. I love the leaves changing color, the crisp chill that slowly begins to creep in, the sun setting earlier, the smells of pumpkin in homes and stores, and the spirit of thankfulness that comes with the anticipation of Thanksgiving. I’m a bit of a romantic about fall you could say.
In Texas though, the temperature is still in the mid-80s, the days are hot and fall still seems a lifetime away. While I can’t start embracing all of my fall favorites till the weather start to cooperate, I can daydream in excitement.
I love the plaid, the flannel shirts and scarves. I love the pumpkins in stores and decorating homes. I love spending time with friends around a fire pit. I love wearing my bean boots with thick fuzzy socks. I love the delicious seasonal drinks that show up on menus everywhere: Salted Caramel Mocha Latte, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Vanilla Spice Latte…I love it all.
Nobody has explained my feelings about fall better than F. Scott Fitzgerald. Life does start over again in the fall. It’s a new season, a season of thankfulness and blessings. I can’t wait to share this season with you!
